POMIO MP Elias Kapavore has withdrawn local forest areas in his electorate and neighbouring Gasmata in Kandrian-Gloucester, West New Britain, from the Ania Kapiure Fulleborne Forest Management Agreement project.

The Pomio District Development Authority (DDA) business arm, the Pomio Development Corporation, will be challenging the present management of its vessel, 'MV Pomio', in court.
