The eight districts in Eastern Highlands Province yesterday received cheques of K1 million each from the provincial government to support the students attending tertiary institutions in Papua New Guinea.
The Daulo district development authority has paid K628,000 under its tertiary students assistance scheme ahead of the registration week.
A new hospital, a new junior day high, and a rural electrical project are on the way for Wata bung Local Level Government constuiency in Daulo District if Eastern Highlands Province.
Daulo DDA has recommitted its support to education going forward.
