Thousands turned up for the launch og the tertiary students assistance program by the Kainantu District Development Authority. 

The eight districts in Eastern Highlands Province yesterday received cheques of K1 million each from the provincial government to support the students attending tertiary institutions in Papua New Guinea. 

A FORMER officer-in-charge of the Eastern Highlands Public Solicitor’s Office, Vincent Agusave, has been appointed as new acting chief executive officer (CEO) of the Kainantu development authority (DDA).
