Land Deal gone Wrong for Farmers
A land transaction in Port Moresby has left thousands of rural farmers in Kundiawa Gembolg , Chimbu Province, high and dry as it cuts off their income and threatens their livelihood. The land in question, section 159, Allotment 05, 8 mile estate located in the National Capital district was occupied by Agrotech Produced Limited (APL), a business arm of Kudiawa Gembolg District Development Authority (KGDDA, which had a cold room distribution facility worth K2.5 million to market fresh produce from rural farmers in the district.
